Cherry blossom viewing at Chiba Castle
In March and April every year, Japanese cherry blossoms begin to bloom. I can see cherry blossoms everywhere I go, and the first place I chose to see cherry blossoms after a year living in Japan is Chiba castle.
It was a beautiful day, and I was at home free without anyone inviting me to hang out. It's the cherry blossom season and I was afraid that if I hadn't hurried, I would have missed it like last year, so I decided to ride a bike to Chiba Castle near my house to see the cherry blossoms.
If you want to visit this place, you can take the train to Honchiba Station and walk in for about 10 minutes. I'll leave the address here for your reference: 1 Chome-6-1 Inohana, Chuo Ward, Chiba.
I parked the bike in an empty lot nearby and started going up. The stairs were many steps, so I was pretty tired walking up there. Just standing under the stairs, I could hear Japanese people talking. I was a bit surprised since I had passed here a few times, but there was no sign of anyone.
I walked up; my eyes were filled with many lanterns hanging on a string across the small path.

I walked a few more steps and saw two cars selling many snacks such as popcorn, fried chicken, french fries, etc... A lot of people stood in line there. With curiosity and a hungry stomach, I decided to queue up to buy some snacks at a few small shops nearby, which were quite delicious.
After buying food, I quickly grabbed a nearby chair and sat down to eat since, as far as I know, Japanese people don't like someone eating while walking.

I left there and saw if there was anything interesting behind, I was a bit surprised to see many people spreading tarps under the cherry blossom trees already. Don't know what day it was? When asking, I found out that there was a performance festival there that day, everyone was waiting to see it.
I really wanted to see if there was anything special about the festival, but it didn't start until late at night. So I decided to wander around in the meantime.

I went to a nearby huge cherry blossom tree to take pictures since the others were full of people that I couldn't do anything. When I arrived, I saw a sign not to enter, but there were a few people taking pictures inside, so I also ventured in. When entering, I reassured myself that the forbidden sign was on the other side and had nothing to do with this tree, but I was still scared, so I quickly took photos and left.

I waited for a long time but still haven't seen any performance. I was planning to stay more, but my sister texted me to go home and go to the supermarket together since we ran out of food, so I had to miss the festival at that time.
There is no need to go too far; my locality already has a stunning cherry blossom viewing spot. Anyone in Chiba during the cherry blossom season but has no place to go can come here. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
