What to do at Tokyo Solamachi? Tokyo Skytree's unique shopping street

Tokyo Skytree is a typical tourist spot that Japan offers, and we are always deeply touched by the beauty of the view of Tokyo. But do you also want some modern experience of Japanese shopping, dishes, or a little adventure?

Located under the Tokyo Skytree and serving as an entrance to it, the mall Tokyo Solamachi has more than 300 shops inside of it that you can go to and explore.

This entertainment complex has such a large variety of shops inside of it that it will be hard not to get lost inside of it. And I mean literally as well, it's happened to me more than once!

Big, entertaining and modern, Tokyo Solamachi has become one of my favorites to go-to spots when I want to meet up with friends or hang out somewhere. So, what kind of shops can you find here? From Uniqlo, clothing stores, jewelry stores to a Disney store, it seems like these options that are offered to you in this modern mall are never ending.

So, let me tell you all about one of my new recommended hot spots to go to when visiting Tokyo. One of the main reasons why I love going to Tokyo Solamachi has to be the restaurants that it has.

While some people might think that it's not that big of a deal, for me, as a foodie, it is a big deal. I pay a lot of attention to the quality of the food of the places and I can tell you that I have not been disappointed.

No matter what restaurant I go to that is in Solamachi, it all tastes delicious. Not only that, but the variety of food as well is good, and even though there's a lot, it's not to the point that it's overwhelming.

And if maybe you're not that big of a fan of food, but would rather have a more visual experience while you eat, there's no problem with that! There are a variety of themed restaurants inside of the mall (which usually you have to make a reservation for beforehand) and both the visuals of the restaurant and food are so cute!

Recently, a Kirby-themed café has opened up inside of the mall, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out about this!

Speaking of Nintendo-themed cafes and stores, right next to the Kirby café shop (which yes, there is a Kirby café shop), there is a Pokémon center! So for those of us that are big fan of video games, anime, and just things like this in general, Tokyo Solamachi is a very good spot to go to to pass the time in.

On the same floor where these two shops are located, it seems like the mall likes to hold a lot of themed events and pop-up stores for a few months. Right now in November, there is a Harry Potter pop-up store where you can go in and immerse yourself in the magical world of Hogwarts and buy perch from the saga.

Besides being a great place to hang out with your friends, Tokyo Solamachi has developed into a great spot to go to as a tourist and sometimes as a local too! Since it's a new building in a new area, I've known about lots of people who have been wanting to visit the place and look around.

So when you do come around to Japan, remember to put Tokyo Solamachi on your list of places to go to! Not only will you have a good time, but you'll be able to find some good things for yourself and even gifts for those who are waiting for you back home!
